Southwest Veterans FOUNDATION announce
A $1,000 CHARITABLE DONATION TO youth for troops

The Southwest Veterans Foundation (SWVF) is pleased to announce a $1,000 charitable donation to Youth for Troops to support their programs and operations.

Youth for Troops is a youth-led, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to serving active duty military, especially those deployed overseas, and Veterans and their families across a wide-range of needs.  Their volunteers can be seen regularly across the Phoenix Valley participating in military and Veteran events and raising money to support their programs. A few of the many activities they are involved in include participating in Honor Flights, military and Veteran funerals, supporting homeless Veterans, preparing and sending care packages to troops stationed and deployed overseas, and collaborating with other Veteran-supportive organizations.

The SWVF is the charitable arm of the Southwest Veterans Chamber of Commerce (SWVCC). Jerry Mosteller, Chair of the Philanthropy Committee, noted that “We are very pleased to be able to make this donation. We want to thank our SWVCC Members and all those who have supported our Foundation programs through their generous contributions. Without their support, our charitable awards program would not exist, and we would not be able to recognize and support great organizations such as Youth for Troops.

Sophie Hoffa, a founding Youth Board Member of Youth for Troops, shared “Thank you to the Southwest Veterans Foundation and all those whose donations, memberships, and support allowed them to recognize our family-friendly community service projects that support our heroes. This generous donation will support our mission and impact our community. Volunteers of all ages are welcome to join us at our events to show appreciation to Veterans and deployed troops.”
