Kathy Gallowitz, Southwest Veterans Chamber of Commerce (SWVCC) Member, Selected for the Arizona Veterans Hall of Fame

The Unified Arizona Veterans (UAV) announced that Governor Katie Hobbs has approved the Class of 2025 nominees to be inducted into the Arizona Veterans Hall of Fame (AVHOF). Included in this year’s class is SWVCC member and former director, Kathy Lowrey Gallowitz.

While honorable military service is a prerequisite for selection for the AVHOF, this honor recognizes the service and contributions Veterans make after their military service. The induction ceremony will take place on October 24, 2025 at the Talking Stick Resort. Kathy served our country in the US Air Force and the Air National Guard retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel. Kathy is the Founder of Vanguard Veteran, a Veteran Champion organization, striving to help employers understand and embrace the value that Veterans bring to their organizations. Her many other pursuits of community service include:

  • Service as Member and Chair of the Arizona Veterans Service Advisory Commission
  • Co-founder of Women Who Lead
  • SWVCC Lead for its monthly Scottsdale luncheon held on the fourth Tuesday of every month.
  • Glendale Chamber of Commerce Military Affairs Committee
  • “VetConnect” Military Ministry Christ’s Church in Fountain Hills
