Southwest Veterans Foundation (SWVF) Surpasses Its Phase I
Veteran Suicide Prevention Fundraising Goal
The SWVF announced it has surpassed its Phase I Goal of raising $100,000 to support Veteran suicide prevention efforts in Arizona. Eric Snelz, President of the SWVF Board of Directors, noted “we had earmarked all donations at our 10th Annual Patriots Ball in October for our Veteran Suicide Prevention Fund (VSPF). Thanks to the generosity of our attendees and supporters, $18,220 was donated bringing our Phase I VSPF total to $113,155.”
To date, SWVF has awarded $86,500 in grants to vetted non-profit organizations who are engaged in Veteran suicide prevention. The additional $26, 635 will be awarded in 2026. Tom Sheets, Executive Director added, “the Board of Directors will develop the Phase II program during first quarter and will likely target at least another $100,000.”
If you would like to donate to the SWVF VSPF you can do so online at https://swvcc.org/savealife/, at any Southwest Veterans event, by calling 602.677.2961 or at the following QR Code.
On behalf of the Veterans and their families who have benefited from these grants, the Board of directors thanks the hundreds of people and organizations who make this program possible. We also send a special thank you to our VSPF Sponsor
